What the Communication Department Does for You

The Communication Department attempts, by God’s grace, to fulfill that commission by keeping our church members informed about how the Lord is blessing the churches in the Carolina Conference and by helping communities become aware of the positive role that the local Adventist Church plays in their area. These objectives are accomplished not only through the efforts of the conference communication personnel but also the local communication leaders in the churches throughout the Carolina Conference.

The Communication department looks after these basic functions:

  • News and information
  • Public relations
  • Media relations and media productions
  • Crisis communication
  • On-line services

The communication department coordinates public relations and media activities within the conference. This includes the release of news for the Carolina Action and other church and public media outlets.

The Communication Department is responsible for the following publications: The Carolina Action, The Carolina Action, Church Edition, Southern Tidings (Carolina section), The Global Evangelist and numerous other projects.

We also produce video reports for the Conference and ShareHim, a ministry of the Carolina Conference. In addition, we fulfill any design and video needs for the other departments in our conference.

The Conference web site, www.carolinasda.org, is also overseen in our department. If you have any comments or suggestions for the site, please feel free to contact us.

The Communication Department serves as a resource to help the local church communication coordinator. If you are a local church leader, check this site for some great resources, or contact us for more.
