Romance at the Ranch

On Valentines weekend, 49 married couples gathered from around the Conference and surrounding states to enhance their "Intimate Relationship." Dr. Alberta Mazat, Dr. Richard Davidson, and Dr. Jo Ann Davidson shared God's desires for marriage as expressed in His Word. Couples considered their expressions of affection in new and creative ways. According to one participant, the speakers enthusiastically presented "fabulous, down-to-earth messages with the flavor of scholarship."

 

A rare snow fell Friday night adding to the ambiance of Nosoca Pines Ranch where the weekend began with a celebration of God and the Sabbath. Other delightful experiences such as a pontoon boat ride around the lake, carriage rides, volleyball in the gym with friends, casual hikes, and horseback riding were enjoyed throughout the weekend.

 

When asked what they liked about the weekend, here's what some couples shared:

 

"This weekend was filled with new ideas for our relationship with each other, God (the Sabbath especially), and our children."

 

"It was nice to be here with my wife and learn new ways to keep our love growing."

 

"I've always loved my husband and being married, but appreciate both so much more now."
