Rita Roberts -- What if you had no money to give for offering, but God asked you to give it anyway? That’s exactly the message Rita Roberts heard when she attended an evangelistic series by Dale Pollett. At first she felt he couldn’t possibly be talking to her, but come to find out, God had a special lesson in faith that He was waiting for Rita to learn. In our video, you will see how the Lord continued to intervene in Rita’s life, building her faith through each passing trial and triumph. He continually demonstrated that no matter was too small for His caring touch. And because she was faithful in the small things, when it came time for her to make a big decision of faith, she was ready to take the leap.
The Vargas Family -- In Malachi 3:10, God makes a promise to His people. "Test me in this," says the LORD Almighty, "and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it."(NIV)
In this promise the word TEST boldly connects us with the Father. God never changes in keeping His end of the agreement, but what about us? So many times we lose out on this promise because we do not exercise enough faith to "taste and see that the Lord is good." (Psalm 34: 8)
The Vargas family realized once you try God, there is no other option. Every member of the family, including the children, gave willingly and God's promise was fulfilled in their jobs, their church, and their home. View in Spanish
Ted Burris -- For Ted Burris, it wasn’t ideal to see his church go into debt. But instead of giving in to anger or despair, he was encouraged by his wife to do something about it. Because of one man’s personal determination, the Albemarle church was inspired to make the commitment to be debt- free.
When things do not go as planned, it is tempting to give up. In faith we should do our part and watch God turn our obstacles into opportunities!
Over the last several months, many churches like Albemarle have retired their debt and witnessed their mortgage contracts go up in flames. There is no limit to God’s blessings when faithful stewards use their money and time wisely.
Stella Young -- If you think your giving is small or insignificant, think again. By learning to trust God with the little she had, Stella’s faith was strengthened. Each time she struggled to keep her family together, her faith in giving increased. This story gives us two encouraging throughts.First, life will bring sorrow, but God’s love and compassion brings restoration. Second, it encourages us not to think of tithes and offering as paying a bill, but as our gift to God.
He asks for ten percent of what we receive but one hundred percent of our hearts in service to Him. That is exactly what Stella did.
