1. PRAYING FOR OUR CAROLINA SHAREHIM TEAM HEADED TO LESOTHO (SOUTHERN AFRICA)

On Monday, June 11, I will accompany a team of 9 members from the Carolina Conference who will travel to the country of Lesotho in Southern Africa to hold a series of evangelistic meetings as an extension of ShareHim’s global outreach ministry of the Carolinas. Please uplift our team as we travel far from our homes to represent Jesus and His message of hope in the beautiful gospel commission echoed in these immortal words of promise and reassurance: “And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.” Matthew 24:14. Previously known as Basutoland, the Kingdom of Lesotho declared its independence from the United Kingdom on October 4, 1966. It is an enclosed nation in the country of South Africa, with over 11,583 square miles in size. With a population of around 2 million, its capital and largest city is Maseru.

It is the only independent state in the world that lies entirely above 3,281 feet above sea level. Lesotho is rather mountainous and remains cooler throughout the year than other regions at the same latitude. Please pray for our Carolina Summer ShareHim Team’s safety and God’s blessings as they seek to win more hearts for Heaven. Our Team includes:

Israel Mora, Carolina ShareHim Coordinator

Leslie Louis, Carolina Conference President

2. A NEW BUS FOR MOUNT PISGAH ACADEMY

I CHOOSE TO KEEP THIS PRAYER PETITION, WHICH WE LAUNCHED AT THE BEGINNING OF THIS YEAR, BEFORE YOU THROUGH THE REMAING MONTHS OF 2018. LET’S CONTINUE TO PRAY FOR GOD’S PROVISION TILL WE REACH THE REALITY OF THIS DREAM COME TRUE FOR MPA!

There are times when we pray about small things. There are other times we pray over larger items. But nothing is too small or too big for the God that you and I worship! WE TRULY NEED A RELIABLE BUS FOR OUR ACADEMY!

When we all pray together and commit to a task, God can do amazing things – far beyond our imagination! When we all pray together and commit to a task, God can do amazing things – far beyond our imagination!

Of course we need some large donors to accomplish raising almost $200,000 for this newer coach bus. However, let’s not minimize even the small gift.

I’ll keep you posted about the MPA Bus Fund as prayers go up and funds come in! So far we’ve really not received much toward this project. We will continue to pray for God’s blessings till we realize the fulfillment of our prayers by not giving up on this project. We’ll press forward to realizing our goal! As I keep this before our Prayer Partners, I am reminded of the words of that wonderful little song… “In His time, In His time…He makes all things beautiful in His time.”

Would you make this a matter of prayer? Should the Lord impress you to do so, simply make your contributions to:

3. PRAYING FOR OUR CHURCH DISTRICTS & PASTORS

Under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, these words of encouragement were penned for our churches: “Ask of me, and I will answer your requests. The promise is made on condition that the united prayers of the church are offered, and in answer to these prayers there may be expected a power greater than that which comes in answer to private prayer. The power given will be proportionate to the unity of the members and their love for God and for one another.” [9MR, 303]

Praying for our pastors is very important. They are serving God and the attacks of the enemy are relentless. They must be covered in prayer on a daily basis.

Our prayers should be personalized by saying the title of pastor along with their name since they hold a position of sacred trust for God’s remnant church.

Here’s a suggestion for this month: Why not pray for our pastors by name using these seven scriptural passages:

  1. 2 Cor. 3:6 --Who also made us adequate as servants of a new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.

  2. 2 Cor. 4:1 --Therefore, since we have this ministry, as we received mercy, we do not lose heart...

  3. 2 Cor. 5:18 --Now all these things are from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation…

  4. Acts 20:28-- Be on guard for yourselves and for all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God which He purchased with His own blood.

  5. 1 Peter 5:2-- Shepherd the flock of God among you, exercising oversight not under compulsion, but voluntarily, according to the will of God; and not for sordid gain, but with eagerness;

  6. Titus 1:7--For the overseer must be above reproach as God's steward, not self-willed, not quick-tempered, not addicted to wine, not pugnacious, not fond of sordid gain

  7. James 5:14--Is anyone among you sick? Then he must call for the elders of the church and they are to pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord…
