6. SATURATED WITH THE WORD As a President’s Prayer Partner, we again invite you to truly be a people of the Word. As Seventh-day Adventists, we embrace 28 Fundamental truths that are based on the Bible alone. For several months we have been focusing on four passages of scripture that are foundational to each of our fundamental beliefs. Here’s our next set of 4 memory passages for April to coincide with our 15th fundamental belief regarding what the Bible teaches about Baptism. Let’s place His Word prayerfully in our hearts each day of this month. I carry a set of these passages with me in my car and repeat them aloud as I drive from place to place. My goal is to prayerfully say one verse

SOUTHERN ADVENTIST UNIVERSITY Praising God for Answered Prayers on Behalf of the School of Nursing. ​ Last year we petitioned our constituents to pray for the challenges facing the Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) at Southern Adventist University and with the State Board of Nursing in Tennessee. By our prayers and the dedicated efforts of the School of Nursing, 96% of the graduates in 2017 who took the NCLEX-RN are licensed. The first-time pass-rate required by the state is 88% in order for the university to offer this nursing program, which impacts hundreds of students across the Southern Union. The 10,000 President’s Prayer Partners is a fast-growing group of Carolina Conference constituents who take matters such as these to their knees. We invite you to join us, and make this monthly list a matter of prayer. Together we seek the Lord for His answers and provisions to every need we bring before Him. 1. PRAYING FOR OUR ACADEMIES One of the most challenging and yet rewarding responsibilities I have ever shouldered was that of serving as an academy principal. In Carolina, we are blessed to have two wonderful secondary boarding schools for high-school age students who may not have access to a Seventh-day Adventist education in their local communities.
